End of Year Expectations for Early Years
PE Days
Nursery children will have PE on Tuesdays.
Your child will need to come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days
PE Kit: blue/black shorts/jogging bottoms, a white T-Shirt and trainers.
Evidence Me
This is a platform that we use in school to take pictures and video observations of the children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We are able to share these with you via the Evidence Me app.
Each week we will be sending a summary of the week's learning experiences. Please feel free to send any photos, videos and comments back to us. This helps to develop a full picture of your child's interests and learning. In class, we are using Evidence Me to make observations of key steps in their learning. We will be sending home observations for you to view and share with your child.
Early Talk Boost
Early Talk Boost is a targeted intervention aimed at 3–4 year old children with delayed language development. It is designed to boost children’s language skills to help narrow the gap between them and their peers. This programme has been designed by specialist speech and language therapists and a highly experienced nursery teacher. The intervention’s design is based on strong evidence of what is known to support language development in the early years.
